Vira Shield 6 is for use in healthy cattle, including pregnant cows and heifers, as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR), bovine virus diarrhea (BVD Type 1 and BVD Type 2), parainfluenza Type 3 (PI3), and bovine respiratory syncytial (BRSV) viruses. Vira Shield® Vaccines contain the superior Xtend® adjuvant for maximum duration and amplitude to antigenic stimulation. Shake well before using and administer 5 mL subcutaneously in neck. Re-vaccinate in 4-5 weeks. Revaccinate annually or as recommended by your veterinarian.

Description

Vira Shield® 6  is an effective, broad-spectrum vaccine that helps protect cattle against respiratory and reproductive diseases. It contains 6 disease-fighting antigens in one, ready-to-use bottle. You can use Vira Shield on every cow, every time, including pregnant cows and calves nursing pregnant cows, regardless of vaccination history. Vira Shield® 6 is for use in healthy cattle, including pregnant cows and heifers, as an aid in the prevention of diseases caused by infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR), bovine virus diarrhea (BVD Type 1 and BVD Type 2), parainfluenza Type 3 (PI3), and bovine respiratory syncytial (BRSV) viruses. 60 day withdrawal. Does not require reconstitution prior to administration. Supplied as a 10 dose or 50 dose bottle.

University studies have shown 12 month immune stimulation along with 11 month protection against the deadly Type 2 BVD strain 890. Safe for pregnant cows during any stage of gestation and calves nursing pregnant cows.

Produced from non-cytopathic (BVD Type 1 and BVD Type 2) and cytopathic (BVD Type 1) isolates.

Directions/Dosage: 

  • Shake well before using
  • Administer 5 mL intramuscularly in the neck

Precautions

Store out of direct sunlight at 2°-8°C (35°-46°F). DO NOT FREEZE. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not mix with other products, except as specified on the label. In case of human exposure, contact a physician. Do not vaccinate within 60 days prior to slaughter. Transient swelling may occur at the site of injection. Anaphylactic reactions may occur. Symptomatic treatment: Epinephrine. Contains amphotericin B, gentamicin, and thimerosal as preservatives.
