Resflor Gold – Prescription antibiotic that contains some Banamine. Resflor Gold supposedly has a long-acting effect, reducing required number of injections. However, goats MUST have antibiotics daily for 5 consecutive days because of fast metabolism. Use Nuflor Gold instead. Resflor Gold® is an injectable solution of the synthetic antibiotic florfenicol and the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) flunixin. Each milliliter of sterile Resflor Gold® contains 300 mg florfenicol, 16.5 mg flunixin as flunixin meglumine, 300 mg 2-pyrrolidone, 35 mg malic acid, and triacetin qs.

NUFLOR Injectable Solution is indicated for treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD), associated with Mannheimia (Pasteurella) haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, and Histophilus somni, and for the treatment of bovine interdigital phlegmon (foot rot, acute interdigital necrobacillosis, infectious pododermatitis) associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus. Also, it is indicated for the control of respiratory disease in cattle at high risk of developing BRD associated with Mannheimia (Pasteurella) haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, and Histophilus somni.
Resflor Gold Dosage and Administration
Resflor Gold® should be administered once by subcutaneous injection at a dose rate of 40 mg florfenicol/kg body weight and 2.2 mg flunixin/kg body weight (6 mL/100 lb). Do not administer more than 10 mL at each site. The injection should be given only in the neck. Injection sites other than the neck have not been evaluated. For the 500mL vial, do not puncture the stopper more than 10 times.
