Dosage

The contents of one vial of reconstituted vaccine should be injected subcutaneously. Reconstitute immediately prior to use by addition of one vial of Nobivac Diluent. For an initial vaccination, two doses are required, at an interval of 3 to 4 weeks. The first inoculation is given from the age of 8-9 weeks and the second inoculation from the age of 12 weeks. If earlier vaccination if desirable or necessary, vaccination is appropriate from 6 weeks of age onwards, but should be followed by the normal vaccination scheme at 8-9 and 12 weeks of age.

Revaccination
A single dose. Recommended revaccination following initial programme:

  • FCV, FHV and FPLV revaccinate three-yearly.
  • For cats exposed to high-risk environments, annual revaccination should be considered.

Storage

  • The vaccine must be stored in the original container between 2 °C and 8 °C.
  • Do not freeze.
  • Avoid prolonged or repetitive exposure to high ambient temperatures following withdrawal from the refrigerator prior to use. Under hot summer conditions vaccine potency can be severely reduced within a few hours.
  • The Nobivac® Solvent may be stored at room temperature (between 20 °C and 25 °C)
  • Protect from direct sunlight.

  3. Avoid contamination of the vaccine with disinfectants or spirits.
  4. Dissolve the freeze-dried plug in Nobivac® Tricat Trio Solvent. Allow to reach room temperature before use.
  5. Ensure that the freeze-dried plug is completely dissolved in Nobivac® Tricat Trio Solvent prior to use of the vaccine.
  6. Avoid intravenous injection.
  7. It is good vaccination practice when handling vaccines to avoid contact with the eyes, hands and clothing.
