This fruit is common in Africa, especially Nigeria. It is called Agbalumo in Yoruba and Udala in Igbo yet the English name is obscure. Some call it cherry but the truth is that it is not cherry, it is AFRICAN STAR APPLE. Its botanical name is Chrysophylum albidum.
